Terms of Service
Last updated: 19 July 2026
1. Who we are
faice.chat is operated by Blue Ship Media Limited, Kinyra 28, Office 303, 8011 Paphos, Cyprus (registration HE 421308) — see the legal notice. By creating an account you agree to these terms.
2. What faice is
faice provides an animated, voiced 3D companion interface for AI language models: a character that speaks replies aloud, shows expressions, listens via your microphone (if you allow it) and keeps a small long-term memory of your conversations.
faice does not provide the AI model itself. You connect your own account with an AI provider (for example OpenAI or Anthropic, or your own locally hosted model) by entering your own API key ("bring your own key"). Your use of those providers is governed by their terms, and any usage fees they charge are yours and separate from faice's fees.
3. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Provide a valid email address and keep your password confidential.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
4. Trial, prices and payment
- New accounts get a 7-day free trial. No payment details are required for the trial.
- After the trial, continued use requires a subscription of USD 9.99 per month (or the price shown at checkout, including VAT where applicable).
- Custom avatars generated from a photo are offered as a one-time purchase of USD 7.99 per avatar.
- Payments are processed by our reseller and merchant of record Creem (Armitage Labs OÜ, Estonia), which handles checkout, invoices and VAT. Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled; you can cancel at any time with effect from the end of the current billing period.
- EU consumers: you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal. By starting the paid service immediately you request performance during the withdrawal period; where the service has been fully performed, the right of withdrawal lapses. Cancelling is always possible as described above.
5. Your obligations
- Use only API keys that belong to you or that you are authorised to use.
- Do not use faice for unlawful purposes or to generate unlawful content.
- Photo uploads for custom avatars: upload only photos of yourself, or photos you own the rights to and have the depicted person's consent for. Creating avatars that impersonate another real person without their consent is prohibited.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, overload or reverse-engineer the service.
6. AI output — important notice
- Replies are generated by the AI model you connect. They can be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate. Verify anything important independently.
- faice is entertainment/productivity software. It is not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and no substitute for professional help or human relationships. If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services or a crisis hotline.
7. Content and licences
- The faice software and design remain our property.
- Built-in characters are based on CC0-licensed VRoid sample models.
- Custom avatars we generate for you are licensed to you for personal use within and outside faice. You retain all rights to photos you provide.
- Third-party VRM models you load remain subject to their own licences.
8. Availability and changes
We operate the service with reasonable care but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may improve or change features, and may modify these terms with notice via email or in-app; continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance.
9. Termination
You may delete your account at any time (email hello@faice.chat). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination, paid periods already started are not refunded except where required by law.
10. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent, gross negligence and injury to life, body or health. For simple negligence we are liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations and limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of contract. Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Cyprus. If you are a consumer in the EU, the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remain applicable.
